General Product Questions
Cleaning your Kuvings Slow Juicer is very easy! For a quick rinse between preparations, just run water through the machine with the juice cap closed and then empty the water.
For (a full) cleaning, we provide a special cleaning tool and brushes to make the cleaning process quick and simple.
Kuvings products use BPA-free Ecozen, therefore they are not dishwasher-safe.
Instead, wash the parts by hand with mild soap and cold water. For a thorough cleaning, spray the parts with white vinegar and wipe them down thoroughly.
When freshly pressed with a Kuvings Slow Juicer, we recommend enjoying the juice immediately to maximize its nutritional value.
However, it can be refrigerated for up to 72 hours in an airtight container. Some separation (layering) may occur – this is due to the pulp settling in the juice, not oxidation. Just give the juice a stir and enjoy.
Kuvings has been developing appliances for a healthy life for over 47 years. We are the first company in the world to introduce juicers with large feed chutes (openings) that allow fruits and vegetables to be juiced without pre-cutting. This patented wide-mouth design reduces preparation time for fast and easy juicing.
We also manufacture our own products, so we know exactly how our machines are designed and built. The quality of our products is guaranteed by our flexible 15-year warranty program.
All Whole Slow Juicers in our range include a special cleaning tool for cleaning the strainer. Our juicers are very versatile – you can make juices, smoothies, sorbets, and frozen desserts, as well as instant nut milks.
Our products are developed and produced in our own production facilities in South Korea. We are already celebrating 47 years of innovation and are proud to be part of a community that focuses on health and wellness.
None of our Whole Slow Juicers generate heat, so they are all considered Cold Press Juicers.
They do not have a hydraulic press like traditional cold-press juicers, but instead use an auger (Presswalze/Saftschnecke) to gently crush and press ingredients without generating heat.
It is the most compact and cost-effective way to make cold-pressed juice at home.
A great juicer is an investment in your health. Furthermore, Kuvings juicers are built to last. We use high-quality materials like Ecozen™ and ULTEM™ to produce high-performance and durable products. Our flexible 15-year warranty on the motor and motor replacement parts reflects our commitment to quality and customer service.
We are also proud of the versatility of our machines. Our Whole Slow Juicers can extract juice, make smoothies and nut milks, and also prepare sorbets.
"Masticating" ("Mastizieren") means "to chew," and that is essentially how our slow juicers process ingredients.
“Chewing juicers” (masticating juicers) crush and press ingredients to extract juice, similar to how we chew our food. This is in contrast to centrifugal juicers, where the ingredients are shredded (grated) with a spinning blade.
Centrifugal juicers generate heat and air, which can impair the nutritional properties of the juice. Masticating juicers keep the maximum amount of nutrients intact.
Commercial juicers from Kuvings, such as the CS600 model, are specifically intended for restaurants, juice bars, and cafés. They are therefore equipped with an industrial-grade motor that can be operated for 24 hours. The warranty for commercial juicers is 1 year (2-year warranty on the motor).
Most juicers in our range – like the Kuvings AUTO10S – are appliances for household use. These operate with similar technology, and some models come with a 15-year warranty.
There are two types of fiber: soluble and insoluble. Fruit and vegetable juice contains soluble fiber, which lowers cholesterol, controls blood sugar levels, and more. The pulp contains insoluble fiber, which simply adds bulk to your stool. A balanced diet includes both types of fiber.
Juicing with a Kuvings Slow Juicer is a great way to take in a large amount of soluble fiber without filling your stomach with insoluble fiber.
A recipe book is included depending on the Kuvings model, or it can be added as an option. On our website, you will also regularly find new and trendy Kuvings recipes that were specially developed for our slow juicers.
Kuvings Slow Juicers are known for operating particularly quietly. The motor rotates more slowly and generates significantly less noise than conventional high-speed juicers.
Of course, Kuvings juicers are not completely silent either, but they are far quieter than classic high-speed juicers or blenders. The operating noise is roughly at the level of a normal conversation.
Kuvings Slow Juicers are called "slow juicers" because they only require 50–60 revolutions per minute (RPM) to gently crush and press the ingredients.
In contrast, high-speed juicers operate at up to 10,000 revolutions per minute to finely chop the ingredients – which can cause more heat and oxidation.
Please do not throw your old appliances – e.g., your old Kuvings juicer – into the normal household trash.
Old electrical appliances contain a variety of valuable resources that can be recycled and reused.
At the same time, they also contain harmful substances that must not be released into the environment under any circumstances.
The symbol of the "crossed-out wheeled garbage can" on your Kuvings appliance indicates
that old appliances must not be disposed of with household waste, but must be collected separately.
Therefore, you are legally obligated to hand over your old electrical appliance to an official collection point
– for example, at the local materials or recycling center.
Below we inform you about the disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. They can be returned free of charge at the following locations:
- Public collection points,
- Places where batteries and rechargeable batteries are sold, and
- By mail to our shipping warehouse.
This also applies in cases where batteries and rechargeable batteries are not sold individually but are already installed in devices.

Ingredients
These ingredients should best be soaked in water for approx. 6 hours and then added to the juicer alternately with water in a 1:3 ratio:
- firm apples (Pink Lady/Gala, etc.)
- Carrots
- Celery (cut into approx. 5cm long pieces before juicing)
- Cherry tomatoes
- Beetroot
- White cabbage
- Pears (firm)
- Ginger
- Beans
- Almonds
- Peanuts
- Pistachios
Mealy (mushy/soft) ingredients with low water content are not suitable, as the pulp (Trester) cannot be ejected properly. e.g., mealy apples, tomatoes, bananas, kiwis, plums, etc.
When using the above (mealy) ingredients alone, the pulp (Fruchtfleisch) will not be ejected evenly.
Therefore, juice these ingredients in combination with harder ingredients, e.g., carrots, beetroot, and celery, and feed them into the juicer alternately.
Yes, you can make most types of nut milk with all of our slow juicers. Soak the nuts overnight. Process the nuts in the juicer using 1 part soaked nuts and 1 part water.
With this method, you can make milk from almonds, soy, cashews, and rolled oats (Haferflocken).
Soft seeds – such as those found in apples, oranges, melons, and lemons – are safe to juice.
Hard seeds and pits – such as those found in cherries, peaches, and plums – can damage the juicer and must be removed.
If you are making "seed milk," like pumpkin seed milk, you must soak the seeds overnight before juicing.
No. You would have to very finely grind and eat over 200 apple seeds to get cyanide poisoning.
Furthermore, the apple seeds are ejected with the pulp.
Limes and lemons can be juiced with their peel (skin) on. You can juice oranges with their peel, but orange peels taste bitter.
If you juice citrus fruits frequently, use our citrus attachment (Zitrusaufsatz), which is specially designed for citrus juicing.
There are many great ways to reuse pulp. You can make veggie burgers, crackers, dog treats, bread, muffins, and more.
Additional pulp may have accumulated under the juicing screw (auger).
Press down firmly on the center of the drum lid while simultaneously turning it counter-clockwise to open it. Also, use the Reverse button to free up any food items.
Spinach and kale are [ingredients rich in] nutrients that contain lots of fiber as well as phytochemicals. Complex antioxidants are found in that foam.
These protect the cells from aggressive radical oxidants.
These [the foam/antioxidants] are created during the juicing process and can be consumed (drunk) along with [the juice].
Alternatively, you can use a sieve (or a soft cloth) to separate the foam.
Product Usage
Juicer
Q: Can ingredients with strong fibers be juiced well?
A: Ingredients that are particularly rich in fiber, such as celery, can get tangled around the screw (auger) and interfere with the juicing process. Therefore, cut it into 3-5 cm (approx. 1-2 inch) long pieces and use less than 500g (approx. 1.1 lbs) at a time. Clean the container before juicing again.
Q: Layer separation of the juice
A: 1. Because high-speed juicers cannot juice finely, layer separation occurs between the soluble and insoluble cells, which also dilutes the juice concentration. (Slow) juicing is a low-speed pressure juicing method, which juices pulp and fruit juice evenly. Layer separation is delayed, the juice concentration is thick, and the nutrient concentration is high.
2. After juicing, the layer can separate depending on the density of the material. This is a fundamental difference from a high-speed juicer and a phenomenon where separation occurs according to the properties of the material.
Q: Can fruits like berries be juiced?
A: When juicing berries such as raspberries and blueberries, the lid (LID) must be removed, and the area where the pulp is not being ejected must be cleaned on the spot (and der Stelle). Otherwise, the juice filter (strainer) could be damaged.
Q: Air bubbles (esp. with apples, bell peppers, spinach, broccoli, cabbage)
A: Due to the composition of the ingredients, a microscopic air layer is created, which leads to fine air bubbles.
Assembly
Q: The lid and the drum (pressing container) cannot be assembled.
A: Assembly is simplified if you align the red dot on the lid with the red dot on the drum.
Q: The lid does not close properly. => Pay attention to the red dots.
A: The auger (Saftschnecke) is not seated correctly: After positioning the red dots on the drum, lid, and strainer, press the auger down while turning it, and then put the lid on.
- Separation: If a foreign object is stuck in the circle area under the auger: Remove the foreign object. (To check: Try closing the lid without the auger and see if it fits on without problems).
Q: The lid cannot be separated (won't open) after juicing.
A: The reason might be similar to an operational stoppage: The main cause is overloading the ingredients.
- Run it forward for 10 seconds and reverse for 10 seconds, repeat this 2-3 times, and completely remove the material in the container.
- Use a towel to grip the protruding part of the lid and turn it in the opening direction (counter-clockwise) to open it.
- Depending on the ingredient, simply pour water into the inlet and then twist the lid open.
- Soak the parts in water for more than 30 minutes and press the red dot to open them. (Literal translation of the original text.)
Q: Drum (Reaktorbehälter) not separating: The auger/juicer is stuck.
A: Reason: The axis of the motor's gear and the axis of the auger are interlocked like a black millstone. However, if the material is severely jammed or an overload occurs, the motor tries to turn forcefully, the auger is restricted by the overload, and both axes become separated (disengaged).
- Action: Repeat Reverse 10 seconds / Forward 10 seconds 2-3 times. After removing the lid, you can open (remove) the auger by gently shaking it.
F. Assembly
- Insert the strainer into the wiper, and then place both assembled parts into the pressing container (drum).
Make sure that the red dots● on the strainer and the drum are aligned with each other. - Insert the auger into the strainer and press/turn it at the same time until it clicks into place.
! Note | The auger must be inserted correctly for the lid to close. - Place the lid on the drum so that both are aligned at the red mark ●. Turn the lid clockwise to the CLOSE mark on the lid.
- Now place the juicer head (top assembly) with the ▼ mark onto the (OPEN) mark on the motor base and turn it clockwise to the (CLOSE) mark on the motor base.
- Align the arrow mark ▼ on the lid with the Open mark on the motor block and turn the juicing attachment (top assembly) clockwise until the arrow mark on the lid aligns with the Close mark.
! Note | The appliance will not turn on if the arrow mark on the lid does not align with the CLOSE mark on the motor base.
F. Disassembly
- Turn off the appliance and pull the plug from the outlet.
- Turn the lid counter-clockwise to open it.
Note | Please do not lift the top assembly while in use. Always lift the top assembly by holding the appliance (base) steady and using the handle. - Turn the upper unit counter-clockwise and lift it off the motor base.
- Remove the auger, the strainer, and the wiper from the pressing container (drum).
Clean the parts with the included brush.
Q: Ingredients are flowing back (reversing).
A: If you press the reverse button (Rückwärtsdrehknopf) located below the operation buttons, the material will flow backward. You need to press the forward rotation button. The reverse button only works when it is pressed and held.
This also occurs when too many ingredients are added too quickly. The fibers do not have time to be sorted out (ejected) as pulp.
Q: The product suddenly stops working.
(A phenomenon that occurs due to excessive or too-rapid ingredient feeding.)
A: Interruption caused by ingredients: If the product suddenly stops during use, you can press the 'Stop' switch and then press the 'Reverse' switch to push the material inside the auger (Zylinderschraube) upwards.
(If it doesn't work when pressing the button, it will be activated by repeating the reverse rotation several times in quick succession.)
Repeat this process three times. If it still does not work, disassemble the container, wash it, and then use it again.
If the motor shuts off due to overheating, let it cool down for 30-60 minutes in a well-ventilated area before using it again.
Ingredients that contain hard pits (including frozen pits) must be removed before use. Otherwise, the auger and the juicing screen (strainer) could be damaged.
Q: The container and parts are discolored after juicing.
A: Ingredients like carrots or spinach, which are rich in carotenoid pigments, can cause discoloration of the auger/spinning brush and container. If this happens, first wipe it down with cooking oil and then clean it with a detergent.
The silicone parts of the juice extraction container can also be detached and washed before use.
Q: Can fruits like berries be juiced?
A: When juicing berries such as raspberries and blueberries, the lid must be removed, and the area where the pulp is not exiting must be cleaned on the spot. Otherwise, the juice filter (strainer) could be damaged.
Use this text to answer questions in as much detail as possible for your customers.
Blender
Q: It won't turn on.
A: Check if the container (jar) is properly attached to the main body. If it is not attached correctly, it will not turn on.
Check if there is a magnet on the bottom of the container.
(When using the menu button):
Check if the blue line of the Jog Wheel is set to 'O'. It only works when it is set to 'O'.
After pressing the dial button once (entering Power Standby status), select the menu button, and then press the dial button again to start the operation.
Q: The vacuum function is not working.
A: If the vacuum noise-reduction cover is not closed, the vacuum cannot be activated.
Make sure you use the vacuum function after you have correctly put on the vacuum noise-reduction cover.
Q: After running the vacuum-blending function once, it won't start again.
A: The vacuum-blending function (vacuum juice, vacuum smoothie) cannot be used continuously.
If you want to use the blender again after one vacuum-blending cycle, you must detach the vacuum container from the main body and then reattach it.
Re-activating the vacuum (without reattaching) is not recommended, in order to prevent backflow.
Q: Water got inside the vacuum cover during cleaning.
A: Place a straw into the middle hole inside the vacuum lid and blow air into it to remove the water from the hose and to dry it completely. It must be completely dry before use.
Q: Cleaning the container
A: 1. Put baking soda in the container and run it once (blend) to remove dirt and odors from fine spots. Fill the container halfway with water and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to use it like a washing function. If it (the odor/stain) persists, scrub it with a sponge, rinse thoroughly with water, and dry it completely in the sun.
2. Add baking soda + citric acid or vinegar with water and blend.
Q: Container discoloration
A: If the container is discolored due to carotenoid pigments (e.g., from carrots), put a small amount of cooking oil on a paper towel (Seidenpapier) and wipe it down once.
If the blending material is (too) thick, the blade may spin unevenly (run idle) or the blended particles may be coarse. Add liquid (water, milk, juice, etc.) so that the blade can rotate smoothly.
Use dairy products (milk, soy milk, etc.) with a maximum capacity of 500 ml or less.
Wait until the operation finishes automatically. Do not turn it off in the middle of the process.
Vacuuming is not possible when using a tamper.
Twist the vacuum module to detach it, and then insert a tamper into the part (opening) to be used.
